-These sharks leave a cookie-shaped bite mark in their prey, which is where their name comes from. 

-These sharks are black on the upper part of their body and underneath they are a light brown. Their lower side glows because they have lots of little photophores. Researchers have found they continue to glow for about three hours after their death.

-Cookie cutter sharks have large prey. They are known to feed on dolphins, whales, and seals. 

-Cookie cutter sharks are found swimming at around 1,000 but have been seen over two miles deep.
